To choose your Bluetooth speaker as the output device and cast your audio to it, you need to turn on your Bluetooth speaker as well as the Bluetooth on your Mac. You then need to pair it with your Mac and have them stay connected. After that, you will see the Bluetooth speaker in the device list in the app.

If your Bluetooth device doesn't appear as available in the device list, the first thing to check is if your Mac can see it in the Sound Preferences “Output” tab. If not, there is likely a connection issue. You'll need to get the device talking to your Mac first. Once the device is visible in Sound Preferences, so it will be in the device list as well.
